THE CHALLENGE
Unable to Secure Funding From Traditional Banks
In 2014, Lesline was ready to step into the next stage of her career: owning and operating her salon. The plan would mean she would need help growing her financial capital to move her business forward.
Unfortunately, she was unable to secure funding from traditional banks. Lesline turned to BBIF with her passion and a business plan. At first, BBIF could not provide her with a small business loan. She needed to improve her financial profile first.
THE SOLUTION
Mentorship Through BBIF’s CEO Training Roundtable
To start, BBIF wanted to help Lesline develop her profile to set her up for success when applying for capital. They welcomed her to the CEO Training Roundtable.
As part of the roundtable, Lesline gained access to valuable information and experienced mentors. She had the guidance she needed to set her up for success in applying for her loan. The loan was approved in no time, and she opened her flagship in the buzzing area of MetroWest.
The Technical Assistance monthly roundtable has been invaluable. The team of consultants acts as my mentors and keep me accountable. I’m grateful to BBIF Florida. They have played an important role in helping in me reaching my business goals!
