What is the benefit of a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) like BBIF?As a CDFI, BBIF is a specialized financial institution that provides financial products and services to populations and businesses located in underserved markets. CDFI’s have community development missions and a reputation for lending responsibly in low-income communities.

Do you all help other races other than black?Yes. While our mission is to impact Black-owned businesses as a community based lender and technical assistance provider, BBIF is an equal opportunity provider. We serve small, Black, minority, disadvantaged and underserved business enterprises.

What type of loans do you offer?We offer a wide variety of loans to fit your needs including working capital, equipment loans, business acquisition, commercial real estate loans, contract finance and more.

Can you provide to small businesses outside the state of FL?Yes. At this time, we also offer our lending products and services to small businesses in the state of Georgia.

Can you provide financial guidance and education and answer my questions, even if I’m not quite ready for a loan?Yes. BBIF is committed to providing education and training. Learn more here.

Do we offer loans to startup businesses?BBIF does not offer loan products to businesses with less than twelve (12) months of verifiable business revenue (tax returns, financial statements.) We advise start-up business owners to engage with local community resource economic development organizations such as America’s SBDC, SCORE, your local chamber of commerce, or a business incubator.
